next generation of
photographers.
This is mom's brag page. Although the oldest of my 4 children
never seemed to have an interest in photography, he's
done an excellent job in his first year of taking pictures.
Out of
the seven catagories he entered at the 2002 Soloano County
Fair, Brett took no less than second place in all seven catagories.
He even received a special trophy sponsored by the Fair.
Update: 8/13/03.
Brett once again recieved a special
trophy sponcered by the Solano County Fair (2003).
The photo that started it all. Altough Brett only received
a second place ribbon for "Best of Friends" at the
Solano County
Fair, this photo has been published in a "coffee table
book"
is listed under my name on their website, though all the credit
belongs to Brett.
Update: 8/13/03.
This photo was entered in the
2003 Contra Costa County Fair and, not only did it
take first place, but also "Best of Division". He
recieved
a blue ribbon, a lovely rosette and a plaque for this
photo.
This photo gained Brett one of four First Place Ribbons
in 12-14 age group at the Solano County Fair 2002.
Update 10/04/02: Brett just received notification in the mail
that this picture will also be published by
*THIS* time it will be published under his own name!

Also entered in the Contra Costa
County Fair 2003, this photo only (*only*..yeesh) took
third place.

The only double blue... Brett got
first place on this one at Contra Costa County Fair 2003
His third blue ribbon. He was suprised this one took first
place because he never intended to enter it. It was just a
picture
he took of a jellyfish on the beach.

Second Place at Contra Costa County
Fair 2003
The fourth of the blue ribbons. This is of his little
brother Shaun. Shaun is very proud of the fact
that this picture took first place in its catagory at the
Solano County Fair 2002.
A neighbor's rock garden. This photo took one of three
second place ribbons at the Solano County Fair 2002.
I loved how this rose looked as if it was made from
velvet. I talked Brett into entering this one for that
reason. He took a second place ribbon for it at the Solano
County Fair 2002.

2003 Fair. His sister Nikki is always a good candidate
for portraits....a natural model.

I was photographing (Brett was my assistant) won him
a second place ribbon at the Solano County 2003 Fair.

Desperate for a B&W abstract to fill
his "quota" of entries, he actually took this picture
of
the top of his 2002 Solano County Fair trophy. Neither of
us were happy with it, but we needed *something*.
Suprisingly it gave him a first place ribbon at the Solano
County 2003 Fair.
